“Science and Technology Tour” - Visiting East China University of Science and Technology, Industry-University-Research Cooperation Conference Opened.

 “Science and Technology Tour” - Visiting East China University of Science and Technology, Industry-University-Research Cooperation Conference opened in Innovation Square in the afternoon of November, 27 in attempt to promote industry-university-research cooperation, stimulate upgrading of Suzhou’s enterprises and enhance competitiveness. It was co-organized by institutions including East China University of Science and Technology, Suzhou Science and Technology Bureau, Suzhou high-tech zone’s administrative committee, and service center of Suzhou’s town chiefs in science and technology.

The conference was hosted by Zhang Xueqin, head of Suzhou’s town chiefs in science and technology and more than 40 experts from seven schools of East China University of Science and Technology and nearly 100 enterprises’ representatives attended. 

During the conference, five companies signed cooperation agreement with East China University of Science and Technology to deepen exchanges between Suzhou and the university, including Jiangsu Zhuyan Information Technology co. , Ltd, Suzhou Kaiyuan Minsheng Technology co., Ltd, Lanhai Yongle (Jiangsu) New Materials co. , Ltd, Suzhou Hengsheng Whitewash Equipment Manufacturing Co. , Ltd, Suzhou Zhaoqi Kaihong Fine Chemicals Co., Ltd.

In the negotiations, experts from the university’s Schools of Materials Science and Engineering, Information, Chemistry and Molecular Engineering, Biological Engineering, Machinery and Power Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Pharmacy, and enterprises’ representatives had in-depth discussions. Enterprises’ representatives said they liked events of this kind as they can have real discussions with professors and experts face to face.
